Description:
A landmark case between Dred Scott against the state. He was a slave who was brought from a slave state, to a free state, and back to a slave state. he argued that when he had been in the free state he had then became free and was no longer a slave. He lost the case. It solidified the idea that the constitution was not written for black people.
