Description:

Heracles arrives in Lydia, to serve as slave to Queen Omphale for a year as penalty for a murder, imposed by Xenoclea, the Delphic Oracle. He was forced to do women's work and to wear women's clothes, while she wore the skin of the Nemean Lion and carried his olive-wood club. After his term of service, Omphale freed Heracles and married him. During his stay in Lydia that Heracles captured the city of the Itones and enslaved them, killed Syleus who forced passersby to hoe his vineyard, and captured the Cercopes.
