On September 1st, 1939, The second World War began. One of the main reasons why the War had started was to stop Japan's global expansion. Great powers of the world such as the United States, Soviet Union, the United Kingdom, etc.
World War II had been going on for six years. Japan wanted to sign a treaty with the US, but the US wouldn't leave the War without an ending in combat. The bombing of Hiroshima in August 1945, had no choice but made Japan surrender, which had put an end to the war. Approximately killed 120,000 people.
