apr 3, 1948 - Marshall Plan
Description:
They implemented this plan to help Europe recover after World War II. It gave 15 billion dollars to help reconstruct cities, trade barriers, industries and damaged areas. Another aim for the plan was to put an end to communism in Eastern countries.
This was an important Plan since it led to the creation of many things. This plan sparked the start of the cold war between the communists and the Soviet Union, who had taken control of Eastern Europe. It also led to the creation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in 1949 that would help each other and it still exists today.
