mar 2, 1877 - Bargain of 1877

Description:

A deal made between U.S congressmen that settled the 1867 presidential election. It had the federal government pulling their last troops from the South. This was what basically killed the Reconstruction era. With control of the south back in the hands of Democrats, there was a disenfranchisement of Black voters, and southern Black people once again lost many of their civil rights.
