dec 13, 359 - Augustine
Description:
One of the first medieval philosophers , Augustine was alive during the time of Christ, in fact he himself converted to Christianity and it's beliefs but was still largely influenced by the works of Socrates and Plato. It was during this time that a convergence between Christianity, religion and Philosophy was created, and along with this creation, an evolution of good and evil also took place, and took on a new form with strong connotations with Religion. His philosophical theories were based on faith in the monotheistic God, he saw evil as the absence of God and here we can see the pertinent influence of Christianity on his beliefs and theories.
