-The 15th amendment. Denies a state to stop a American of color from voting.

-This allows many Black Americans to vote. And many black Americans were still dealing with issues. So voting would help. However despite this Many states added poll taxes and literacy tests to stop black people from voting since they usually weren’t very rich or “good enough” for the test.
