When President Lincoln announced his plans to resupply Fort Sumter, Confederate General Beauregard attacked Fort Sumter. After 34 hours of fire, U.S Major Anderson surrendered. Along, with 86 of his soldiers. There were no deaths during this attack.Added to timeline:
