Edmond Genêt was a pro-revolutionary man who objected to Washington’s policy (nuetrality) and broke all the rules that came with diplomacy in an attempt to get the Americans to support the French cause. They were no pleased by his actions and asked for him to be removed. Later he marries and becomes an American Citizen, after being removed by his government.
