dec 31, 292 - Diocletian split the empire into sections ruled by two co-emperors
Description:
Diocletian split the empire and named Galerius and Constantius as co-emperors with their titles called Ceaser. He did this because he wanted people to succeed himself and Maximian. So it was divided as Augustus and a subordinate Caesar. This was important because it trained good leaders.
