aug 18, 1920 - The Campaign for Women’s Suffrage: Nineteenth Amendment-
Description:
Due to the women's role during the war, Congress finally decided to amend the 19th amendment which granted women suffrage. In 1920 this amendment gave all women the right to vote in every election and following this success Carrie Chapman Catt created the League of Women Voters which was created to inform voters about what they needed to know for the elections, such as their candidates and issues that might be going on.
