Description:

The Pacific railway act was ratified in 1862 and gave federal funding for the creation of a system of railroads played to span from the West coast and East Coast , in the process creating jobs that paid well and promoting economy and connection between both sides. Travel between the West and East would become much more efficient and quicker. It would come to be known as the transcontinental railroad and was a symbol of the ingenuity and wit of America.
