Sherman's March was the marching of 100,000 troops into the South to perform a scorched earth operation on southern soil in order to cripple their agricultural economy. This took place in Tennessee and in Georgia in which all crops were destroyed. This crop destruction would also seep into North and South Carolina.Added to timeline:
