jan 1, 1863 - Wartime Advantages: Military, Economic, Political (POL)(WXT)

Description:

Understanding the advantages and disadvantages of your foe during war is key for a victory. The Union itself had a much larger war infrastructure, resources, and organization as whole. Thanks to this the Union could send larger battalions of its army longer distances to attempt to reunite lost territory. The Confederacy on the other hand, had lesser transportation infrastructure and fewer military personnel to provide but had the advantage of not having to claim new territories, simply defend what was already “their South”. Disorganization and lack of a central structure like the Union had also played a role in the Confederacy’s demise.
