jan 1, 1867 - Enacting the radical plan/ Recunstruction act of 1867

Description:

Congress passed three reconstruction acts which put the South under military occupation. It divided ex confederate states into 5 military districts that were under control of the Union Army. It increased requirements for getting readmission to the Union, so the state would have to ratify the 14th amendment to gain readmission.
