apr 19, 1775 - Lexington and Concord

Description:

in 1775 Thomas Gage, a British commander in Boston, sent a large force of British soldiers to seize colonial military supplies in a town in concord. Paul Revere and William Dawes warned the minute men or militia of Lexington and they assembled them on the village Green to face the British soldiers and slow them down. They were swiftly defeated and the British marched to concord and destroyed the supplies, but on the way back they were attacked from the woods and from cover by colonist, 250 British soldiers were killed
