Description:

Shortly after the fall of the confederation in New England, the colonialists had a new problem that they were dealing with. An American Indian group led by a man known to the Americans as King Phillip was uniting many tribes very close to the New England colony and posed a new threat for them. A gruesome war broke out between them and many lives were lost on both sides, but the Colonialists ended up coming out on top by killing King Philip and burned down many Indian villages. This great victory ended Indian resistance and this area and gave New England a sense of nationalism.
