The election of 1912 was filled with candidates that became popular in the last few years with the candidates including Taft he grew to be hated, Eugene V debs who is considered too radical, leaving the finalist, Roosevelt, and Woodrow Wilson. Roosevelt campaigned for new nationalism, appealing to the progressive movement that would benefit equal opportunities for all. Wilson campaigned for new freedom, which would appeal to the people as well, but would limit more of the large corporations, something that Roosevelt try to stay neutral upon.Added to timeline:
