Description:
The California Gold rush became huge in the US and many settlers moved into these areas and 100,000 miners too for gold and silver. The Comstock Lode was responsible for Nevada entering the Union and Idaho and Montana got early statehood. Methods evolved in California that were for searching for gold such as placer mining and deep shaft mining. Boomtowns were also created but became ghost towns within a few years when the gold and silver ran out.
