Description:

As a result of the disastrous Vietnam War, Congress passed this Act which required the President to consult with Congress with 48 hours of deploying military forces to obtain a declaration of war if troops are to remain on foreign soil beyond 60 days. This Act saved to somewhat decrease the Imperialist presidency.
