jan 1, 1942 - War Powers Act

Description:

This Act was passed after the attack on Pearl Harbor and authorized the President to reorganize federal agencies anyway he thought necessary to win the war. This dramatically increased Executive power because it created the military industrial complex which was an informal partnership between the federal government and defense businesses which functions to this day. Therefore, the Executive branch now had more power to manage military crises.
