Dear Journal:
Ma died today. We don't really know how maybe it had something to do with her yelling so much. Pa is taken it really hard. I have never seen him like this. No slave is safe from his wrath. He yells and whips them for no reason. Its hard to watch him like this. But who am i to say anything when I moved out and i'm home for the first time since then. Pa blames my leaving for the death of my mother and i'm starting to feel like it really is my fault. i try to not think about it and focus on the rebellion that is happening in Virginia. These slaves just don't know how to act. This is why we should keep them in slavery. They cause to much commotion but if we teach them right and show them that the are not equal they will learn to respect us.
