apr 18, 1775 - Second Continential Congress
Description:
The Second meeting did infact happen and colonies were debating on whether they should cut ties with the British. Instead of making any radical decisions at the moment, they decided to take a more peaceful route. Which led to the making of the Olive Branch Petition that was sent to King George III. It was a petition where the colonies pledged their loyalty to Britain as long as their rights were protected. King George did not agree with this petition and dismissed it. This leading to more of an uproar within the colonies.
