mar 31, 1774 - Coercive Acts
Description:
This act prohibited trade in and out of the harbor until the revenue lost from the teas that were destroyed in the Boston Tea Party was paid back. Not only that but it reduced the colonoies power while increasing the power of the royal government. Royal officers would be tried by Britain and not the colonies (as a way to protect them from and give them a free reign of abuse of power) and British troops were quartered in private homes.
