Description:

Because of it’s success in Manchuria, the Japanese were inclined to keep expanding. In the puppet state of Manchukuo, the Japanese faced several conflicts with the Chinese. Japan wanted to show the world that they were no longer behind everyone else and could keep up with world powers like that of China and most of Western Europe. And on July 7th, 1931, Japan crosses the border into China.
