George Wallace was the 45th Governor of Alabama during the tumultous 1960's. At the point of his election in 1963, Wallace was an ardent segregationist. During his 1963 inaugural address, he uttered the famous line: "Segregation Now, Segregation Forever", which became rallying cry for those opposed to integration and the Civil Rights Movement. Bull Connor was a politician in Birmingham, Alabama who strongly opposed the Civil Rights Movement and became an international system of institutional racism.
