Description:

Alexander Graham Bell invents the Telephone. With the adoption of the phone, tons of jobs are created, emergency response times are cut down significantly, and businesses can cluster in cities more because there is less of a need to have physical buildings in each city.

Adoption was fairly quick- by 1904, there are over 6000 independant phone companies and over 5 million miles of telephone wire connecting the US
