jul 17, 1945 - Potsdam Conference: Event 3

Description:

The Potsdam conference was held between the United States, the Soviet Union and Great Britain. At the conference, president Truman was very critical of the Soviet Union as they had temporary occupation of countries alongside the eastern side of Germany. This tension between the two countries manifested the Soviet Union's desire to spread communism and end Capitalism. Both the US and USSR worked towards stopping one another, but never held official battles against each other.
