sep 29, 1969 - Attempt to establish the first network connection

Description:

Charley Kline from the University of California (Los Angeles) tried to connect remotely to a PC located at a distance of 640 km at the Stanford Research Institute, where Bill Duvall confirmed the successful translation of each character in telephone mode. However, of the five characters of the word "LOGIN", which was a special authorization command in the system, only the first three characters – "LOG" - were transmitted on the first attempt, after which the network failed. However, after returning the ARPANET to working status a few hours later, the scientists next attempt to establish communication at a distance was successful.
