apr 28, 1942 - Employment Gains for Mexican Americans (1942)
Description:
Due to the fact that many laborers were needed in the time of World War II, many Mexican Americans entered America looking for work, and eventually, Mexico and America made an agreement regarding these workers. These workers, known as braceros, would be admitted in America for a limited time to work specific jobs. This was important because it helped the relationship between Mexico and America, and it provided America with temporary labor that they desperately needed.
