apr 12, 2021 - Livonian Revolt
Description:
After over a month of stewing resentment, Duke Emil Tandel would revolt against the Alonian Empire. After declaring his control over the old Danzigian capital of Pevnost, Emil Tandel would proclaim the Livonian Order. This would immediately spark outrage in the Alonian Government, with the Kaiser informing him of his legal repercussions if he were to act. A representative of the Danzigian Aufseher would be killed by Tandel while trying to talk in Xonstoople. This action would immediately be responded to by the mobilization of the Kaiser's Legions. These Legions would travel north, and encircle the walled city of Pevnost.
The Battle for Pevnost
Chancellor Dan would land on the roof of the Pevnost church, after seeing a man in an adjacent building. He would inform the Kaiser, and his legions, of this sighting, leading to a buildup and encirclement of the building. Resting on the top floor, Tandel would fire upon the Alonians on the lower floor, before running into a series of tunnels. The Kaiser himself would push into the tunnels after him. Aaron of Cape would push into the tunnels with him, taking point as the first arrows began to be fired. After engaging the enemy, sustaining damage, Aaron would pull back. In his place would be the Kaiser, who would push forward, taking an arrow to the chest, but ultimately slaying Tandel. After his engagement in the tunnels, there would be various cullings of Livonians throughout Pevnost, ultimately resulting in the crushing of the revolt.
The Trial of Tandel
After the war, the Heir of Tandel would be put on trial in Tristinople. He would resist the trial multiple times, before the trial would be brought to his inprisonment chamber. From this place, Tandel II would plead his predessors case. However, in the end, he would still be convicted for murder. His punishment would be exile from the Empire, and the stripping of his rights as a citizen. This trials conclusion would be the true end of the Livonian Revolt.
