12 h, dec 1, 1833 y - American Anti Slavery Society and "The Liberator"
Description:
Under the leadership of William Loyd Garrison, "The Liberator" and the American Anti-Slavery Society drew many people together, both african american and white, to show people how immoral slavery was. Because of how influential Garrison's newspaper was and how large his society became, Garrison called for the North to cede from the union because he did not want any ties with the slave holding South. People began to question their unity and the tensions between the North and South grew even larger.
