Description:

-The Soviet Union was able to successfully detonate an atomic bomb in Kazakhstan in order to see how much power it had and created buildings and animals in cages to see the effect of the bomb on different things that make up a city.

- This bomb was able to decimate the surrounding building along with the animals and it created an international identity for the soviets.

-This would also begin to stir up the concern with the American people who feared the Soviet Union was going to use their bomb on them. It established the Soviet Union as a wartime threat to the United States.
