oct 23, 1969 - DARPA/ARPANET
Description:
DARPA is a US company that was working on the advancement of modern internet in the 1960s, and then created ARPANET during the last months of the decade. The goal was to come up with a way to communicate with people or places in other areas by means which did not depend on any single node, as well as goals to establish more secure communication methods. Eventually, they succeeded and were able to create a method where messages were broken into small packets, then sent through a web-like network, and finally, then it would reach the receiving line where it was reassembled. This argument is one about change because it shows how the United States was constantly trying to better their technology and sciences, and this creation helped a more reliable and safer method of communication that the US did not have to worry about, and that helped them advance.
