Description:

During the space race, the United States needed support to get ahead. With the help of the National Defense Education Act provided the US with federal dollars to not only improve their technology and science in order to build greater and better things but also gave attention to students and people by giving fellowships and loans as well as pushing and putting more into science, math, and modern foreign language areas in order to to provide the US with more manpower, of people who were educated and prepared to help them during the space race. Over $1 billion was spent within the first seven years of the act being passed, and it helped the US succeed in achieving their goals. This argument is one of change, where the NDEA helped change the course of US History, by advancing the US and propelling them forward in not only the space race but in worldly influence
