mar 11, 1953 - Passing of GI Bill
Description:
The GI bill aided many WWII veterans in various ways. Because of the massive amount of unemployment that came from the war ending, the U.S. government decided to help them obtain jobs by giving them the free college education to do so. Many veterans were able to get good-paying jobs because of this bill. This was very beneficial for the veterans as they were able to make a life for themselves after the war. It also has the benefit of motivating people to enlist in wars in the future as they are getting compensated for risking their lives.
