Description:
Under the Peace Protection Law of 1925, butamended in 1928 to allow for execution, the government could arrest anyone
who wanted to change the governmental system. This clearly meant
communists and related socialists; over 1000 Japanese advocates of
communism or socialism were arrested in 1928.
