Description:
This was a case in which the labor laws of New York were challenged by Lochner that laborers were legally able to work more than ten hours a day and or 60 hours per a week in his new york bakery in Utica. He has previously been sentenced fines for having workers work longer than these set times and then had these overturned by a vote of 5-4 that limiting people the ability to work was unconstitutional violating the fourteenth amendment.
