The Pullman strike was a nationwide railroad strike that began in Pullman. This was an isolated case until the ARU decided to become involved creating a nation wide strike creating insecurtity across the country until it waas finally decxided in goverment that the strike was unconstitutional under the Sherman Anit-Trust Act of 1890. Leaders of the Aru were also arrested under the pretense that the ARU had disturbed mail delvery across the country.Added to timeline:
