New Art City is a multiplayer virtual exhibition space with a focus on copresence and native web technology. It is an artist run organization dedicated to supporting and empowering artists, especially those who are denied physical space.
The idea behind New Art City is to focus on co-presence, community and online exhibitions.
As stated in their website, New Art City is an online toolkit that facilitates curators and artists in creating multiplayer 3D environments, experiences and exhibitions.
When entering a show in New Art City, visitors can see each other and chat with each other and the platform can support hundreds of visitors at the same time from all over the world.
Additionally you can access New Art City via mobile and desktop web browser (not yet in VR), without registration or the need to download an app.
