Description:

The Bay of Pigs Invasion was a failed U.S attempt to invade Cuba. The goal of the invasion was to topple Fidel Castro's communist government that had taken hold in Cuba. The invasion had been planned by the U.S Central Intelligence Agency and was approved by President Kennedy. The invasion failed largely in part to an airstrike that failed to destroy all of Castro's air force. Damaged boats also led to the failure and surrender at the bay.
