On Palm Sunday 1965, a devastating tornado outbreak spawned an F4 tornado that tore through Crystal Lake. Many homes and businesses were destroyed and 5 people were killed.Scenes of devastation in Crystal Lake spread far and wide along with more pictures from more communities across the midwest. Although Crystal Lake was hit hard, the town bounced back ten-fold and rebuilt. the community was stronger than ever.
