Description:
Alexander Fleming was sorting Petri dishes that contained colonies of Staphylococcus, he noticed something different about one of the dishes.
There was one spot on the Petri dish where mold was growing that did not contain colonies of Staphylococcus.
Fleming found that the mold could kill a wide range of bacteria, the mold was later found to be a rare strain of Penicillium notatum.
