may 1, 1919 - First Evidence of Gravitational Lensing
Description:
Gravitational lensing is the bending of lights around large objects and allows us to see the objects that lie behind it. The first evidence appeared during a total solar eclipse in May 1919. The stars near sun were observed slightly out of position which indicated the bending of light due to sun's mass.
