Samuel Slater invented the Textile Mill in 1793.
These Textile Mills were responsible for making threads and cloths.
Francis Cabot Lowell made Lowell factories in 1813.
Young girls worked here for very small wages, they also lived nearby in special housing. Textiles were made in these factirues, like cloths and threads.
