jan 1, 1976 - Personal Computer
Description:
It became much easier to communicate with other people. Taking care of finances etc... The computer has become an essential part of everyday life, making it almost impossible to have a business without it. An important example is the stock market, whose volume of transactions would be impossible for human beings to coordinate. "The New York Stock Exchange handles electronically a volume of transactions that was inconceivable in the pre-computer age." Businesses can communicate faster than a decade ago.
Computerization has also changed (some) factory floors and the inventory-management practices of numerous companies.
