Description:

It was led by Nat Turner, who was a talented preacher and believed that god wanted him to lead his people to freedom. He led 80 or so slaves to kill 60 white men, women, and children. He was later captured and hanged. Many other slaves were hanged-many had nothing to to with the revolt. Restrictions tightened.
