Although rallying brilliantly in the 6th inning for four runs, San Bernardino never could overcome a 5-run Texas first inning of which four of the runs were unearned. San Bernardino, which had earlier Saturday ousted North Charleston, S.C. 84 in a thrilling eight inning contest, thus wound up in 4th place. In the early game Saturday, Ralph Lopez, Craig Bradley, Sam Chappie and Skip Glenn all homered to provide San Bernardino with an extra-inning victory. NIGHTMARISH INNING In the nightmarish first inning Saturday night against San Antonio, Jerry Maleski fanned but the ball got by Glenn with the former reaching first.
