Description:
Frank Palko was convicted for first degree murder, but instead, was convicted for second degree murder and given a life sentence. The Court held that the Bill of Rights should be incorporated into the states considerations when dealing with Justice System Violations. This increased the power of the states in that it gave them more responsibility to regulate their justice systems and ensure there are no violations. Palko was executed.
