Last week, for one morning (and one morning only) I traded in my usual platform heels for Converse high-tops to join Jessica Hart, Annie Greenberg, Natalie Joos, Leandra Medine, Logan Horne, Hannah Bronfman and Sugar Vendil for a crash course in skateboarding taught by pro skater Eli Reed. Forget the grunge-meets-urban attire and everything you thought you knew about skater style, this group brought a unique yet polished spin to the skater uniform. In connection with her latest book Pretty Powerful, makeup guru Bobbi Brown designed hot pink skateboards imprinted with her book's title. Online fashion community The Cools helped to curate the pretty powerful and fashion-savvy group for a fun morning in Tompkins Square Park with Reed who sells his clothing line on the social marketplace.
